The porcelain veneers process starts with Dr. Jaime Osorio examining your teeth to ensure you’re a good candidate for porcelain veneers. X-rays or impressions of your teeth may need to be taken at this time. Once you are approved for veneers, we will prepare the teeth by removing a small amount of tooth enamel. A model of the tooth will then be made and sent to a dental laboratory, where your porcelain veneers will be made. One to two weeks later, you will have a second visit during which the veneers will be trimmed and shaped to ensure proper fitment over your teeth. Your teeth will be cleaned and etched, and then our dentist will apply special dental cement to adhere the veneer to your teeth. A special light is used to harden the cement quickly, and any excess cement will be removed.
